NORTH MANCHESTER – Louise Reed Miller, 98, of Timbercrest Senior Living Community, North Manchester, died at 10:25 p.m. Aug. 19, 2012, in Timbercrest Healthcare Center, North Manchester.  
            
She was born Feb. 7, 1914, in Union Township, to Jesse P. and Beulah Berkey Reed. On Sept. 5, 1937, she married the Rev. Harold W. Miller, who died May 15, 1989.

She was a fifth-grade teacher for 14 years, most of them at Moran School. Osceola. She and her husband served in pastoral ministry for the Church of the Brethren for more than 50 years, serving churches in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Missouri, Florida and Maryland. She was a member of Manchester Church of the Brethren. She was a graduate of Nappanee High School, earned a bachelor’s degree from Bluffton College and a master’s degree from Ball State University.

Surviving are a son, Kenneth L.(and spouse Zelba)  Miller, Chesterton; a daughter, Angilee (and spouse Leland) Beery, North Manchester; eight grandchildren;  14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Timbercrest Chapel, North Manchester, with Pastors Ken Miller and Karen Eberly officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Union Center Cemetery, Nappanee.

Calling is one hour prior to the service Saturday at Timbercrest Chapel.
