Loretta A. "Lori" Habegger, 51, and Michael L. "Mick" Habegger, 51, both of 2797 W. CR 700N, Leesburg, died at 10:33 a.m. May 29, 2008, in their residence.
She was born April 1, 1957, in West Virginia, to John and Helen M. Smith Vealey.
He was born Sept. 17, 1956, in Warsaw, to Danny G. and Annabelle Henline Habegger.
They were married Sept. 28, 1985.
A Kosciusko County resident since 1985, she was a homemaker and former office manager at Independent Appraisal Service, Leesburg. She graduated from Whitko High School, South Whitley, in 1975, and loved quilting, gardening and cooking.
A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, he was a polisher at Zimmer Inc., Warsaw, for more than 30 years. He was a 1974 Warsaw Community High School graduate, loved music and was an accomplished guitarist.
They attended Warsaw Community Church.
Surviving are their son, Rodney Habegger, Warsaw; her father, John Vealey, Warsaw; her three sisters: Sandy Grindle, Silver Lake; Brenda Bowers, Warsaw; and Patricia Callahan, North Manchester; his two brothers, Edd Habegger, Leesburg, and George Alexander, Port Charlotte, Fla.; and his two sisters, Diane Pifer, Warsaw, and Julia Mazelin, Haines City, Fla. She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen M. Vealey. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents, Danny G. and Annabelle Habegger; and a brother.
A memorial service for Lori and Mick will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, with Edd Habegger officiating. Their ashes will be scattered in Florida at a later date.
