MENTONE - Kenneth L. Ryman, 89, formerly of Warsaw, died at 3:15 p.m. Sept. 14, 2008, in Grace Village Healthcare Facility, Winona Lake, where he resided.

He was born June 29, 1919, in Atwood, to Roy and Pearl Huffman Ryman. On Oct. 3, 1942, in Akron, he married Pauline Holloway, who died Feb. 2, 2000.

He also lived in the Atwood, Mentone and Akron area. He was a retired carpenter and worked for Miller and Sons, Silver Lake, and Laminated Rafters, Warsaw. He enjoyed growing flowers and gardening over the years. He attended Warsaw Wesleyan Church until he was unable due to health problems.

Surviving are four sons: Jerry (and spouse Cheryl) Ryman, Warsaw; Robert Ryman, Spartanburg, S.C.; Fred (and spouse Mary) Ryman, Fort Wayne; and Douglas (and spouse Vonda) Ryman, Claypool; eight grandchildren: Angela and Randy Heinsman; Nicole and Matt Dick; Ben, Jared, Alisha, Michael and Matt Ryman; and Jennifer and Karl Gueber; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Laura Belle Roberts, Atwood. He was preceded in death by a son; a sister, Marcella McKibbin; and a brother, Lester Ryman.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone, with the Rev. Wanda Carter officiating. Burial will be in Harrison Center Cemetery, Etna Green.
