Kathleen “Kathy” A. Carper, 55, Etna Green, passed away at 4:49 p.m. Feb. 7, 2013, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. She was born Dec. 24, 1957, in Warsaw, to Glenn D. and Edith Blomeyer Carper. She graduated from Triton High School, Bourbon, in 1976. She worked for Biomet Inc. for 30 years, most recently as a quality inspector. She enjoyed photography and woodworking; loved and nursed to health all kinds of animals; she was all about family and would do anything for them; she was Rhya’s best friend and each evening she called her mom to be sure she was OK. Surviving are her mother, Edith Carper, Warsaw; a daughter, Rhya (and spouse Mike) Walters, Tippecanoe; two brothers, Ronald (and spouse Gloria) Carper, Warsaw, and Jerry (and spouse MaryLou) Carper, Indianapolis; two sisters, Linda (and spouse Bill) Brigham, Fort Wayne, and Debbie Carper, Warsaw; and three grandchildren: Jahi, Madison and Arianah. She was preceded in death by her father, who died March 19, 1988. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor Bob Jarboe officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
