SYRACUSE – K. Dale Brannock, 73, of Syracuse, and Bradenton, Fla., died Sept. 14, 2011, in his residence.
He was born March 6, 1938, in Galax, Va., to Wayne and Geneve Hawks Brannock. His first wife, Sandra, preceded him in death. He married Sherry Beasley, who survives.
He moved to the Syracuse area from Muncie in 1968. He retired from teaching in 1997, after 33 years. He was a member of Oneco United Methodist Church, Bradenton, Fla., and the Indiana State Teacher’s Association.
Also surviving are three sons: Mike (and spouse Mary Jane) Brannock, Syracuse; Rick Brannock, Bradenton, Fla.; and Brian (and spouse Jill) Brannock, Marysville, Wash.; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jean (and spouse Charlie) Walling, Thomson, Ga. She also was preceded in death by a brother.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse. Burial will be in Syracuse Cemetery.
Calling is from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
