Juanita Campbell 'Granny' Morris

ONTARIO, Ohio – Juanita Campbell “Granny” Morris, 87, of Mansfield, Ohio, and formerly of Hazard, Ky., went to be with the Lord July 31, 2013, in Crystal Care Center, Mansfield, after a brief illness.
She was born Sept. 30, 1925, in Briarfork, Ky., to Doc and Emma Huff Campbell. She married Bill Morris, who preceded her in death.
She lived in Mansfield since 1993. A homemaker, she was a master quilter and gardener, a fantastic cook and canner and made the best chicken ’n’ dumplings and according to a certain grandson, the best ramen noodles ever. She was a member of Church of the Living God, Typo, Ky., for 59 years.
Surviving are two daughters, Patricia (and spouse Manuel) Noble and Shirley-Jean Caudill, all of Mansfield; three sons: Bill Carlos (and spouse Judy) Morris, Mountain City, Tenn.; Clyde Edward (and spouse Charlotte) Morris, Mansfield; and Marcus Wayne (and spouse Reece) Morris, Pierceton; 10 grandchildren: William Noble Sr.; Timothy, Carla, Sandra and Michael Morris; Angie Benedict; Melissa Ramsey; Marsha Robbins; Shannon Roberts; and Andy Baldridge; 31 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bill (and spouse Wanda) Campbell, Zapata, Texas, and John (and spouse Andi) Campbell, Mansfield; two sisters, Mary (and spouse Ray) Blevins, Shady Valley, Tenn., and Eliza Puckett, Cumminsky; and her dog and companion, Cocoa. She also was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, the Rev. Kevin Morris; a sister, Pauline Baughman; and a son-in-law, Douglas Caudill.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario, Ohio, officiated by Chaplain Alden J. Thibeau and William P. Noble Sr. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
