MUNCIE – Janet L. Tudor Ellison, 84, passed away May 16, 2014, at Morrison Woods.
She was born Aug. 10, 1929, in Muncie, to Paul and G. Pearl Miller Tudor. She was married to Richard Ellison, who preceded her in death.
She was a graduate of Harrison Township High School, Gaston, and attended Ball State University. She ran the Village Loft Gift Shop for several years. She enjoyed her home on Tippecanoe Lake and fellowship with her bridge group (with which she was very competitive), was an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing with her neighbors and working in her little garden and watching it grow. She also enjoyed going to the casinos with her family and friends.
She was a member of the Mental Health Association of Delaware County, and the High Street United Methodist Church in Muncie. She was on the board of Comprehensive Mental Health, delivered Meals on Wheels, was a member of the Philanthropic Educational Organization, and was a 50-year member of Tippecanoe Lake Country Club in Leesburg. In her latter years, she was a member of the North Webster United Methodist Church. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, David Tudor Ellison; four brothers: C.B., Raymond, John and Jack Tudor; a son-in-law, Richard Geisler; and two grandchildren, Joseph and Brian Geisler.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 W. Kilgore Ave., Muncie, with Pastor Dale Mendenhall officiating. Burial is in Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
