Iona "Ann" Perry, 66, of 9602 E. Old 30, Pierceton, died at 4:45 a.m. June 13, 2009, in her residence. She entered into rest after a short, but courageous battle with cancer.
She was born Sept. 5, 1942, in Warsaw, to Clarence and Iona Leckrone Sausaman. On Jan. 14, 1961, she married Alvin F. Perry, who survives.
A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, she was a farm wife and a devoted homemaker. She enjoyed horseback riding, bowling, family gatherings and cookouts around the campfire. She served as vice-president of the Kosciusko County Saddle Club for many years.
Also surviving are two daughters, Cynthia (and spouse Gregory) Taylor and Amber (and spouse Michael) Wheeler, both of Pierceton; grandchildren: Caleb Logan, Warsaw; Stephanie Wheeler, Pierceton; Angela Taylor, Avilla; and Christopher Taylor, Orlando, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Ariana, Cleste and Hailie Logan, all of Larwill; and two sisters, Judy Lowry, Warsaw, and Jackie Lemcool, Kingsley, Mich. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and two sisters.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, officiated by Chaplain Robert Jarboe of Kosciusko Home Care & Hospice. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
