FORT WAYNE – Helen Esther Gregory, 93, of Fort Wayne, passed away April 21, 2013, in her residence. She was born Feb. 23, 1920, in Friendswood, Texas, to Ralph and Marva Coppock Jackson. She married Glenn Gregory, who preceded her in death. She graduated from Friends Bible College, Haviland, Kan., before attending Marion College (Indiana Wesleyan). She worked for years with her husband on their Indiana dairy farm and later worked at Heckman Bindery, North Manchester. After retirement, she and her husband traveled widely throughout the U.S. She was a gracious woman who avoided attention while quietly serving people around her. Surviving are two sons, Mike (and spouse Debby) Gregory and Doug (and spouse Becky) Gregory; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, Gil (and spouse Emily) Jackson. She also was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Ralph and Sheldon Jackson. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Grace Point Church, Mayhew Road, Fort Wayne. Calling is two hours prior to the service Wednesday at the church.
