Helen E. Leckrone, 89, of 26 EMS C14 Lane, Warsaw, died at 3:20 a.m. June 6, 2008, in her residence.
She was born March 11, 1919, in Kinmundy, Ill., to Orville and Mary Humphrey Garrett. She married Robert Kenneth Leckrone, who preceded her in death.
She lived in in Warsaw for the past week, having recently moved from Highland. She worked at Alexander's Hallmark Bookstore, Munster, for 25 years. She was a member of South Side Christian Church, Munster, and was a past member of the Lansing Country Club, Lansing, Ill.
Surviving are a son, Robert M. (and spouse Judy A.) Leckrone, Cedar Lake; a daughter-in-law, Caroyln J. Leckrone, Warsaw; three grandsons: Bobby, Ryan and Garrett; and four great-grandchildren: Mitchell, Mallory, Garrett and Lorraine. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Garrett K. Leckrone.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Evergreen Cemetery, Kimmundy.
No calling is planned.
