Hal M. Stroh, 69, of Kendallville, died at 11:10 p.m. Feb. 14, 2009.
He was born May 11, 1939, in Fremont, to Maynard and Dorothy Miller Stroh. On Dec. 6, 1959, at Clear Lake, he married Roberta M., who survives.
He graduated from Fremont High School in 1957, and International Business College in 1959. He was a public accountant and owner of Stroh's Accounting. Most of his life he enjoyed serving people through accounting. Other occupations of service to people were as a Lutheran Brotherhood insurance agent and a bank trust officer. It was important to him to do the best for whomever he served.
He was a member of First Christian Church, Kendallville. He was a Christian, believing you are saved by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ. He knew he would be going home to Heaven to be with Jesus.
Also surviving are a son, Ross, St. Louis, Mo.; a daughter, Debra (and spouse Scott) Wiley, Warsaw; a granddaughter, Baylee; a brother, Jack (and spouse Carol) Stroh, Coldwater, Mich.; and a host of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He bequeathed his body to Indiana University Medical Center, Indianapolis.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Christian Church, Kendallville, with Dr. Tom Clothier officiating.
