ROCHESTER - Glen D. Law, 90, of Englewood, Fla., formerly of Rochester, died Nov. 30, 2007.

He was born Oct. 27, 1917, in Wenatchee, Wash., to Harvey and Rosa Law. He married Virginia Adamson, who died May 27, 2002. He married his second wife, Emma Jean Columbus Phillips, with whom he shared his last 2-1/2 years, his three sons and three grandchildren.

He had been an effective educator as a teacher and/or administrator in Talma, Mentone, Richland Center, Tippecanoe, Triton and Columbia City. He also was an interim preacher, a farmer and an exemplary family man.

He was a gentle and talented man and equally comfortable with a shovel and pen. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Surviving are a son, Gail (and spouse Cindy) Law, Mentone; a daughter, Janet (and spouse Michael) Weber, Rochester, Ind./Englewood, Fla; five grandchildren: Gene Law, Quentin (and spouse Melissa) Law, Corrine (and spouse Steve) Knudsen, Peggy Tyler, Lori (and spouse Roy) Vandermark; and five great-grandchildren: Drew Law, Joshua and Mikayla Tyler, Brent Vandermark and Inga (and spouse T.C.) Omondi. He had six brothers and a sister; his parents and four brothers preceded him in death.

A memorial service was Dec. 5 at the Church of Christ of Venice.

Calling is at 10 a.m. Dec. 24 at the Church of Christ, Rochester, with a memorial service following at 11 a.m.
