NORTH WEBSTER – Evalee Hale, 65, Pierceton, passed away at 1:47 p.m. April 29, 2015, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. She was born July 23, 1949, in Salyersville, Ky., to James and Arizona Howard Mullins. On March 31, 1970, in Pierceton, she married Basel Hale, who survives in Pierceton. She had been a resident of the Pierceton/Larwill area since the mid 1960s, and graduated in 1969 from Larwill High School. She was formerly employed at Brian’s and Senior Specialty Products, both in North Manchester; Whitley Products, Pierceton; Magnavox and Ultra Electronics-USSI, both in Columbia City; and ITT, Fort Wayne. She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church, Pierceton. Also surviving are two sons, Basel Junior (and spouse Michele) Hale, Ozark City, Mo., and Forest James Hale, Pierceton; eight grandchildren: Kegan, Kameron, Aiden, Andrew, Kayla, Ashley, Samantha and Sarah Hale; three sisters: Eleanor Francis, Columbia City; Ella Bradley, Topeka; Geraldine (and spouse Paul) Conley, Sidney; and a brother, Larry (and spouse Deb) Mullins, Nappanee. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Roger Lee Hale; and a brother, Roscoe Mullins. Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Free United Baptist Church, 7035 S. Ind. 13, Pierceton, with Pastor Alvin “Hoss” Allen officiating. Burial is in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton. Calling is from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the church.
