Elizabeth R. Plew, 86, Warsaw, passed away at 1:10 p.m. April 16, 2014, in Mason Health Care and Rehabilitation, Warsaw. She was born Dec. 30, 1927, in Warsaw, to Herbert B. and Ruth Madaline Bollinger Robinson. On June 14, 1958, in Warsaw she married George Plew, who survives in Warsaw. She was lifetime resident of Warsaw, graduated from Warsaw High School where she was a member of GAA and played saxophone in the Warsaw High School Band. She was a graduate of the Ball Memorial Hospital School of Nursing where she received her degree as a registered nurse. During her nursing career she served the Warsaw Community Schools as a public school nurse and served in the offices of Dr. Dormeir and Dr. Bibler. In addition to nursing, she taught physical education at Warsaw Community High School for 11 years. She attended the First United Methodist Church of Warsaw. Also surviving are two sisters, Eleanor Gill, San Jose, Calif., and Ruth Shenefield, Warsaw. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Marguerite Gilliam and Herberta Munson, and a brother, Cameron Robinson. A private interment service will be held in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with Pastor Scott Carmer officiating.
