GOSHEN – Edwin E. Koher, 94, died late evening May 28, 2014, at Greencroft Health Care where he was admitted in March following the diagnosis of a blood disorder. He was born Oct. 22, 1919, in North Webster, to John L. and Lillian M. Gerard Koher. On June 27, 1941, in Cromwell, he married Dorothy E. Calbeck, who died Nov. 24, 2010. A lifetime area resident, he was vice president and manager of New Paris Lumber Company. He served four years with the U.S. Army in the European Theater during World War II. A longtime member of First United Methodist Church, he was also a member of the Ligonier American Legion Post 243, the Valley of Fort Wayne Scottish Rite and Masonic Lodge #705, Cromwell. He was also a member of the Caring Club at Goshen Hospital. He is survived by a son, Clayton G. (and spouse Pam) Koher, Goshen; and two grandchildren, Renee K. Koher, Skagway, Alaska, and Ryan G. Koher, LaGrange, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a brother, Woody G. Koher. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, with Pastoral Assistant Pamela Kling officiating. Burial is in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
