Dr. Robert Martin Schneider, D.C., 76, of 402 S. CR 450E, Pierceton, died at 9:55 a.m. Nov. 14, 2008, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born May 8, 1932, in Utica, N.Y., to Martin John and Mary J. Jacksteit Schneider. He married Karen Allen.
A resident of Kosciusko County for the the past 46 years, he was a doctor of chiropractic medicine in the Warsaw and Winona Lake areas. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957-1959. He was a member of First Christian Church of Warsaw and was awarded the Indiana Chiropractor of the Year in 1997.
Surviving are a daughter, Jennifer (and spouse William) Rogers, Warsaw; a son, David (and spouse Carrie) Schneider, Pierceton; six grandchildren; two brothers: Dr. Herbert (and spouse Ruth) Schneider, Middlebury, and Dr. Daniel (and spouse Aletta) Schneider, Powell, Ohio; and his former wife, Karen Schneider, Attica.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor Ronnie Sams officiating. Burial will be in West Lebanon Cemetery.
