GOSHEN – Donald Dean Miller, 76, passed away May 8, 2015, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa, where he had been the past week. He was born Sept. 9, 1938, in Nappanee, to John K. and Magdelina “Martha” Miller Miller. On Aug. 1, 1958, in Nappanee, he married Carolyn June Haney, who survives. A 1957 graduate of Nappanee High School, he attended Frankfort Pilgrim College and graduated from Indiana Wesleyan College in 1982 with a bachelor’s degree in ministry. He did mission work with the Zulu tribe in South Africa from 1964 through 1980. He owned and operated Peddler’s Village from 1994 to 2008. He was attending River Oaks Church. Also surviving are a daughter, Katherine “Kathy” (and spouse James) Stichter, Goshen; two grandchildren, Emily and Nathan Stichter; and a sister, Pauline Otto, Goshen. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Geneva Parker and Dorothy Collins; and two brothers, Howard and Charles Miller. Services will be at 6 p.m. today at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, with Pastor Scott Tilley, River Oaks Church, officiating. Burial will be Tuesday in Olive East Cemetery.
