Derek Jan Anglin, 53, of 7009 W. Crystal Lake Road, Warsaw, passed away at 6:12 a.m. Jan. 3, 2012, in his residence.
He was born Sept. 23, 1958, in Columbus, Ohio, to Danny L. and Marilyn L. Smith Anglin, who survive.
He was a resident of Kosciusko County throughout his life. He was a 1977 graduate of Tippecanoe Valley High School. He was an avid sports lover who cherished his three daughters. He faced many struggles in his life, but remained devoted to his girls and grandson.
He will be lovingly remembered by his three daughters: Erin (and spouse Ryan) Tucker, Silver Lake; Alyssa (and spouse Jake) Moore, Loveland, Colo.; and Carli Anglin, Winona Lake; a grandson, Maclain Tucker, Silver Lake; a brother, Dion Anglin, Plainfield, Ill.; and two sisters, Anje Anglin, Warsaw, and Aimee (and spouse Ryan) Graves, Columbia City. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, with Pastor Jerry Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Stony Point Cemetery, Atwood.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
