COLUMBIA CITY - Deborah Sue Calhoon, 48, of Columbia City, died at 2:28 p.m. Sept. 4, 2009, in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
She was born Sept. 29, 1960, in Columbia City, to Frank R. and Jenna M. Wolfe Diehl. On July 21, 1978, at Zion Lutheran Church, Columbia City, she married William F. Calhoon, who survives.
She attended Columbia City Joint High School. For 15 years she worked as a supervisor at Group Dekko, Merriam. A former resident of Big Lake, she and her husband lived for 20 years in Merriam before moving to Columbia City in 2006.
Also surviving are a daughter, Candice Calhoon, Columbia City; a grandson, William "Cory" Calhoon, Columbia City; her mother, Jenna M. Williams, Fort Wayne; a brother, David (and spouse Becky) Diehl, Mentone; and a sister, Dianna (and spouse Howard) Patrick, Claypool. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank R. Diehl.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, officiated by Pastor Tim Kumfer of Big Lake Church of God.
Calling is one hour prior to the service Sunday at the funeral home.
