MOUNT VERNON, Ohio – David S. Noble, 73, passed away peacefully from his earthly home near Mount Vernon, Ohio, to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born April 7, 1938, in Westerville, Ohio, to Lawrence and Mary E. Samuel Noble. On June 26, 1960, he married Nancy Cooper, who survives. He graduated from Johnstown High School, Otterbein College, Westerville, with a degree in business administration and later earned his Master of Divinity degree at Grace Theological Seminary, Winona Lake. He was a resident of the Mount Vernon area since 1983. He had been employed as an accountant-controller at Technical Rubber Company, Johnstown; served as business administrator for Worthington Grace Brethren Church and School; had maintained his own private accounting firm; served for eight years as the Safety-Service Director for the City of Mount Vernon; and most recently served as business manager for Kacy Architectural Millwork, a family-owned business. He was an active member of the Lakeholm Church of the Nazarene in Mount Vernon. Also surviving are a son, Kevin (and spouse Cynthia) Noble; a daughter, Linda L. Noble; three grandchildren, Timothy, Amanda and Christopher Noble; and a sister, Barbara J. (and spouse James) Earnest, Mount Vernon. He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, William David Noble, and a sister, Donna M. Noble. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lakeholm Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens. Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lakeholm Church of the Nazarene.
