GREENFIELD – David M. Whitesell, 67, died Feb. 7, 2012, in Kindred Healthcare, Greenfield, after a long-time illness with Alzheimer’s.
He was born Sept. 23, 1944, in Warsaw, to Richard and Juanita Valentine Whitesell.
He graduated from Warsaw High School in 1962, received a business degree from Tri State University in 1968 and a J.D. from IU Law School in 1973 and was admitted into the Indiana Bar Association in 1974.
He served as the city attorney for two terms and then worked as a self-employed lawyer in Warsaw for many years. He was a member of the Warsaw Optimist Club, Morris Chapel Church, Pierceton, and was a Mason and Murat Shriner in Warsaw. He had his pilot’s license.
Surviving are his children: Michael Whitesell and Jenny Whitesell, both of Warsaw; Jackie Whitesell, M.D., Boise, Idaho; Kristie Whitesell, Noblesville; and Adam Whitesell, Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Douglas Whitesell.
