David Lowell Biltz, 78, Warsaw,  passed away at 10:42 p.m. Feb. 13, 2016, at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
He was born Nov. 11, 1937, in Warsaw, to Clarence and Margaret Timko Biltz. On Dec. 5, 1959, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw, he married Francis Gayle Reese, who survives. They were married 56 years.
He honorably served in the United States Marine Corps in the 1st Force Reconnaissance Company FMF PAC, returning after four years of service in 1959. He has been a lifetime resident of Warsaw.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and American Legion Post 49, Warsaw, and Post 15, Wabash. He retired from Zimmer Biomet as a machinist, operating a CNC. He enjoyed listing to country music when traveling everywhere they drove, and he was the best popcorn maker.
Also surviving are two sons, David Lowell Biltz II, Warsaw, and Mark (and spouse Tina) Biltz, Larwill; a daughter, Kathryn Joan (and spouse Manolo) Dosal, Goshen; a brother, Clarence (and spouse Carolyn) Biltz, Wabash; a sister, Helen Jean (and spouse Donald) Goff, Wabash; eight grandchildren: Jenny, Celia, Samantha, Tisha, Carie, Nole, Kalee and Katelyn; and 13 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; a sister; a son; a daughter and his beloved dog “Maggie.”
A service of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Father Phil DeVolder officiating. Burial will be Thursday in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with military honors by American Legion Post 49 and U.S. Military Funeral honor guard.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel, with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m.
