Winona Literary Club To Meet
WINONA LAKE – For 122 years, the Winona Literary Club has been a place where women gather to grow, connect and be inspired and they are eager to welcome a new generation into that rich tradition. Far more than a typical book club, their biweekly meetings offer speakers, live music, conversation and community.
They invite you to join them March 4 at 1:30 p.m. at the Robin Hood Community Center. Indiana broadcasting pioneer Rita Price Simpson will present “How Time Flies! Broadcasting over 6,000 Girls' Basketball Games!” As the first women’s basketball on-air announcer in Indiana and the only broadcaster to call every girls and boys state championship tournament since 1977, Simpson brings energy, experience and a story of perseverance and passion.
Whether you are new to the community or have lived here for years, the Winona Literary Club offers a meaningful way to learn, engage and build friendships across generations. They welcome women from across the community to come and be part of the afternoon.
To attend, RSVP to Marcia Lee at 574-527-7687 by Feb. 28.
