A Claypool man is dead after a single-vehicle accident Friday morning.
Brent Riley, 27, Ind. 14, was killed after his car hit a tree and caught fire.
At 2:49 a.m. today, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to a call of a car on fire, according to a report from KCSD.
Police found the car, rolled over on the west side of the road, near the intersection of South Packerton Road and CR 400 S, Warsaw.
Officials say the car was traveling north on Packerton Road and hit a ditch and embankment. The vehicle began to slide out of control and then hit a tree, which caused the car to overturn.
Riley was the only person in the car. He was not wearing his seat belt, according to the report.
Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory and Pierceton Fire Department assisted at the scene.
