PIERCETON – Carl L. Morrison, 74, Claypool, passed away at 5:03 a.m. May 11, 2014, at his residence. He was born Oct. 1, 1938, in Pierceton, to Walter and Irene Morrison. On April 9, 1976, in Clintwood, Va., he married Avadean “Deana” Allen, who survives in Claypool. He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County. He worked for Dalton Foundry as a core maker for over 30 years, retiring in 1998. He attended First Baptist Church, Pierceton, and was a member of the Dalton Club. Also surviving are two daughters, Leigh (and spouse Chris) Antwright, High Point, N.C., and Robin Garrard, Sidney; two sons, Duane (and spouse Linda) Morrison, Lakeside, Calif., and Brian (and spouse Rita) Boocher, Sidney; two sisters, Wanda (and spouse Charles) Thurman, Chattanooga, Tenn., and Connie Kehoe, Warsaw; one brother, Maurice Morrison, Leesburg; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Ed Kehoe. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton, with Pastor Mark Fishburn officiating.
