C. Craig Doran, 60, Burket, passed away at 2:06 p.m. Feb. 28, 2015, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was born Jan. 5, 1955, in Warsaw, to Byron C. and JoAnn Cole Doran. On Oct. 10, 2009, in Cocoa Beach, Fla., he married Linda Decker, who survives. He was a 1973 graduate of Mentone High School, and a 1977 graduate of Butler University, where he was a member of Sigma Chi. He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, and owner of Warsaw Black Oxide, Burket. He was kind and generous, always positive and enjoyed the simple things in life. He had attended 52 Indianapolis 500 races. He loved playing golf and fishing. He was an avid Colts, Bears, White Sox and Notre Dame football fan. He will be greatly missed by many. Also surviving are a stepson, Alex Owens, Lafayette; a brother, Dr. Chris (and spouse Diane) Doran, Winona Lake; a brother-in-law, Miguel Canda, Miami, Fla.; and a niece, Mattie Doran. He was preceded in death by his father, who died Aug. 6, 1999; his mother, who died May 18, 2011; and a sister, Lisa Canda, who died March 23, 2012. A celebration of life and sharing of memories will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Stonehenge Golf & Country Club, 2850 E.
