SYRACUSE – Birda Rhudell “Rhudy” Yeager, 87, Goshen, formerly of Syracuse, passed away at 4:37 p.m. March 14, 2016, at Greencroft Healthcare in Goshen.
She was born March 4, 1929, in Chenoa, Ill., to Emler L. and Golden Gertrude Kiper Dennison. On June 12, 1948, in Syracuse, she married Paul Alden Yeager, who preceded her in death Feb. 15, 2009.
She was a lifetime Kosciusko/Elkhart County area resident and graduated in 1948 from Syracuse High School. She was a homemaker and attended the Church of God in Syracuse.
Surviving are one daughter, Suzanne (and spouse James) Pachynski and one son, Tim Yeager, all of Syracuse; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Sandra Horton; one grandson, Edward Paul Pachynski; and two sisters, Mary Virginia Wise and Fern Genevieve Armey.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse, with Pastor Brad Cox of Wawasee Lakeside Chapel officiating. Burial will be in the Syracuse Cemetery.
Calling will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at Greencroft Meetinghouse Goshen and from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
