Betty Snyder, 85, died at 4 a.m. Nov. 30, 2011, in Moose-Haven Life Care Center, Orange Park, Fla.
She was born Oct. 31, 1926, in Fort Wayne, and was adopted by Charles and Laura McCombs, Warsaw. She was formerly married to Lawrence A. Stevens, who survives in Warsaw. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Snyder.
Residing in Florida since 1981, she was a member of Loyal Order of Moose, Brooksville, Fla. On Aug. 27, 2003, she retired from Moose-Haven, where she resided for eight years.
Surviving are three sons: Lawrence (and spouse Shirley) Stevens Jr., Weeki Wachee, Fla.; James (and spouse Kathy) Stevens, Warsaw; and Michael (and spouse Susan) Stevens, Pierceton; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by two sons.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Moose-Haven Chapel, Orange Park, officiated by the Rev. Helen Taylor and Opportunity Chapter. A graveside memorial service will be at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
