SYRACUSE – Betty Sims, 90, of Syracuse, passed away March 12, 2013, in Greencroft Healthcare, Goshen. She was born April 18, 1922, in Whitley County, to Charles and Wilma McPheter Gordon. On April 20, 1946, she married Edwin Sims, who died in 1995. A lifetime area resident, she was a homemaker and loved glowers, gardening and cutting her grass. Surviving are a daughter, Judy Sims, Syracuse; a son, Thomas (and spouse Vickie) Sims, Bristol; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne, with Pastor Pat Park officiating.
