MENTONE – Betty L. Shepherd, 70, of Burket, died at 10:50 a.m. April 24, 2013, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. She was born Feb. 13, 1943, in Meally, Ky., to James and Lucille Rusher Stambaugh. She married Douglas M. Shepherd, who died July 23, 1996. She was a homemaker. Surviving are a sister, Yvone McSurley, Kingbury; a brother, James Stambaugh, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Mandy Yeager and Christopher Yates; and two great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a daughter and a son. Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at King Memorial Home, Mentone, with Pastor Dan Cox officiating.
