COLUMBIA CITY - Alma A. Snyder, 95, of Winona Lake, died at 1:18 p.m. Dec. 17, 2010, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

She was born Aug. 7, 1915, in Ash Hill, Butler County, Mo., to James M. and Manda B. Wells Simpson. On Aug. 1, 1936, she married George W. Snyder, who died Aug. 5, 1984.

She completed her education in Fisk, Mo. She made their home in Pontiac, Mich., before moving to Columbia City in 1945. In 1981, she returned to Missouri. In 1987, she moved to Warsaw. A homemaker, she also worked at Fibre Form for several years and Whitley Products for a brief period. She was a member of Church of Christ, Warsaw.

Surviving are three daughters, Marilyn (and spouse Paul Sr.) Braddock, Warsaw; Patricia Sue (and spouse Jerry) Kaufman, Fort Wayne; and Kathie L. (and spouse Kevin) Schram, Larwill; a son, Roger D. Snyder, Steelville Mo.; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, James M. Simpson, Davison, Mich.; and two sisters, Gladys McFarland, Lake Placid, Fla., and Dorothy Virginia Lezbenby, Warner Robbins, Ga. She was preceded in death by a son, four sisters and three brothers.

Service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. Burial will be in Ash Hill (Mo.) Cemetery.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
