Admitting Mistakes

Admitting you're wrong about something is not a weakness but a strength. I have been wrong about various things and admit it.
I found out that Japan didn't perfect their atomic bomb before the end of the war and you don't have to exaggerate how bad something is when it is bad enough to condemn. For years I was wrong about the Vietnam War. I now realize it was a civil war that we should have fought differently. Ho Chi Minh wanted America to throw out the French out of his home country of French Indo China. But we were allied with the French and President Wilson didn't want to support Ho over the French. So he went to Lenin and received the support of the Soviet Union. Maybe if we had given the nation freedom from the French it wouldn't have become a communist nation. At least it isn't totally anti-American because it has become a vacation location for many Americans that fought over there.
Generalizing about things is wrong, too. Not all Democrats hate Israel and many are smarter than I am. Just because many Democrats are crazy doesn't mean they are all crazy. Also, Donald Trump has done many wrong things. But he has never done anything that could be considered a high crime or misdemeanor which warrants impeachment unless he gives $5,000 to vote for him, which might be considered bribery like what George McGovern wanted to do when he promised to give every American a lot less if he became president in 1972.
Why can't politicians and most of the media admit when they're wrong? Maybe because if the voters knew the truth they would never be elected or pay attention to them. Fox News isn't always right. But compared to CNN and MSNBC, Fox News is as honest as the day is long.
Why can't politicians that support socialism admit it is a failed economic system that would bring misery to America as it has to other nations around the world? Why can't people who want the government to control our lives admit it is a form of fascism? Why do people say Allah is another name for God when God loves the Jews and Israel which would mean he is another name for Satan if people think he hates the Jews?
