BENTON – Wawasee saw its girls basketball season end and the careers of three seniors come to a close.

GOSHEN – The Lakeland Christian Academy Lady Cougars ended their most successful basketball season in program history on Saturday night. LCA lost 41-38 to Lakewood Park Christian in the Class 1A Sectional 52 championship at Bethany Christian High School.

WINONA LAKE – In yet another classic between men's basketball rivals Grace College and Bethel College, the Lancers came up short on Saturday, falling 77-75 to the 13th-ranked Pilots.

WINONA LAKE – Grace College’s women’s basketball team continued its late-season surge with a 76-50 victory over Crossroads League rival Bethel on Saturday.

ANDERSON – Indiana High School Bowling has crowned new state champions. The finals were held Saturday at Championship Lanes in Anderson. Nearly 200 teams  in each division started the tournament with sectional competition, and 12 boys and 12 girls teams still had a chance at the state championship Saturday.

LAGRANGE – The Wawasee Lady Warriors gymnastics team placed second at the Lakeland Invitational on Saturday. The Lady Warriors had a team score of 106.000, losing to Carroll, which had a score of 110.95.

GOSHEN – Wawasee High School senior Aubrey Kuhn didn’t let anything stand in the way of helping her teammates advance to the Class 3A sectional finals at Fairfield High School.

GOSHEN – A runaway victory in the semifinals has Lakeland Christian Academy one more win from raising its first sectional trophy in girls basketball. The Lady Cougars (16-8) built leads of 25-3 and 37-10 at the first two quarter breaks Friday on the way to a 63-19 win against Hamilton (0-23). The championship game against Lakewood Park Christian (16-5) – a 39-33 winner against Fremont in Friday’s second semifinal – is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. today at Bethany Christian High School.

DUNLAP – Coach Lenny Krebs is excited for what the future holds for the Warsaw Lady Tigers after his first season has concluded. Despite losing 38-35 to Elkhart Memorial Friday night in the Class 4A Sectional 4 semifinals at Concord High School’s McCuen Gymnasium, Krebs has established a culture for the team.
