MOUNT VERNON, Ohio – Grace College’s women’s basketball team picked up its second road win of the week, downing Mt. Vernon Nazarene University 76-65 on Saturday.

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio – Grace College’s men’s basketball team suffered another narrow defeat, just missing a chance to upset the No. 6-ranked team in the NAIA.

BREMEN – The Edgewood eighth grade boys basketball team won the Northeast Lakes Middle School Conference Tournament Saturday at Bremen High School.

PLYMOUTH – The Wawasee wrestling team dominated the competition to win Saturday’s Plymouth Sectional.

A game of runs favored Warsaw Friday.

NORTH MANCHESTER – The implications were there Friday night for a classic Three Rivers Conference matchup between the Tippecanoe Valley Vikings and the host Manchester Squires, as both teams entered with just one loss in league play.

The Mentone Youth League will hold registration for its 2019 baseball and softball seasons in February at the MYL building.

SOUTH WHITLEY – Ellie Snep scored 15 points and pulled down 13 rebounds, and Whitko showcased stalwart defense in a 46-33 home Three Rivers Conference win Friday over Wabash. 

AKRON – Manchester High School girls basketball coach Jake Everett has had his eye on the Three Rivers Conference title for a long time. Thursday was the fruition of Everett’s and the Lady Squires’ years-long pursuit, as they won 43-40 at Tippecanoe Valley for a share of the TRC championship.

NAPPANEE – Thursday night’s Northern Lakes Conference girls basketball game between Warsaw and NorthWood was a tale of two halves. The visiting Lady Tigers used a dominant second quarter to lead 25-16 at halftime, but the Lady Panthers responded with an even bigger third quarter en route to a 46-42 win at The Pit.

WINONA LAKE – The Lakeland Christian girls basketball team was edged 36-35 Thursday in a home game against Fort Wayne Blackhawk.

SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Grace College’s women’s basketball team snapped its slump with a 66-49 pounding of Spring Arbor on Wednesday.
