NAPPANEE — Cheryl Myers, 48, Nappanee, died at 9:10 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017, at her residence after a brief illness (five weeks) with pancreatic cancer. 

The Oct. 6 Warsaw Board of Works time has been changed from 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. The location will still be in the council chambers, city hall, 102 S. Buffalo St.

Loretta L. Thomas, 79, died at 10:05 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25, 2017, at Mason Health Care, Warsaw. Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.

NORTH MANCHESTER — Mason Lee Galway, 20 months, North Manchester, died at 11:04 a.m. Friday, Sept. 22, 2017, at his home. He was born Dec. 28, 2015, in Huntington, to Brian Redden and Cassandra Galway, who survive in North Manchester.

Donald Eugene Frush, 94, Granger, passed away at 10:36 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017, in Golden Living Center – Fountainview Nursing Home, Mishawaka. Donald passed away due to dementia.

Della E. Lesley, 99, formerly of South Whitley, died at 12:20 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Columbia City, where she had been a resident several years.

CLEBURNE, Texas — Graveside service for Pamela Stephens, 59, Alvarado, Texas, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept 27, at Glenwood Cemetery in Alvarado. The Rev. Joe Hester will officiate

AKRON — James L. Sriver, 82, Akron, died at 6:33 a.m. today, Sept. 26, 2017, at his residence. Arrangements are pending at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron.

NORTH MANCHESTER — Argyle “Bud” Keirn, 82, North Manchester, died at 6:39 a.m. Sept. 24, 2017, in his residence.

Donald R. "Don" Jenkins, 60, Silver Lake, passed away at 6:55 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, 2017, at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.  He was born April 26, 1957, in Van Wert, Ohio, to George and Constance Barth Jenkins. He graduated in 1975 from Warsaw Community High School and formerly worked in a factory, construction and landscaping. He lived most of his life in the Warsaw/Silver Lake area. He was formerly affiliated with the Lutheran church. He is survived by a son, Blaine Jenkins, Silver Lake; and two uncles, Michael (Joyce) O’ Brian, Silver Lake, and Larry (Linda) Barth, Muncie. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, John Meyer; brother, Lowell Jenkins; and sister, Christine Jenkins. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, Warsaw.  A memorial service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, at Yellow Creek Campground, 8822 S. 600W, Claypool. ***** Memorials to Blaine Jenkins c/o Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. Kenneth R. “Ken” Kerlin, 89, Warsaw, passed away at 8:15 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017, at his home.  Arrangements are pending at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, Warsaw.   

Karen Lee Jefferson, 71, a longtime resident of Warsaw, passed away  at 4:45 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, 2017, in Kingston Care Center, Fort Wayne. Born Oct. 15, 1945, in Kansas City, Mo., Karen was the daughter of Walter Thomas Winkler Sr. and Vivian Rutherford.

The Rev. D. Robert “Bob” Griffith, Grace Village Retirement Community, Winona Lake, passed away at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, at his residence at the age of 89.

PLYMOUTH — Martha Jane Shively, 75, formerly of Tuxedo Drive in Plymouth, passed away Saturday evening, Sept. 16, 2017, at her residence in Muncie.

BOURBON — Lester G. Sellers, 79, Bourbon, died at 9:24 p.m. Sept. 22, 2017, at home as a result of a farm accident. Arrangements are pending at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, Bourbon.   

Bettie L. Hare, 91, Milford, died at 6:55 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017, at Goshen Hospital. 

Rowena G. Bryant, 93, of Rochester, was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away at 3:12 a.m., Friday, Sept. 22, 2017, at Logansport Memorial Hospital.

James W. Denny, 82, of Culver, passed away at 2:10 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017, in the comfort of  his home.

Mrs. Carol A. Vandermark, 81, of Rochester, was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away at 10:45 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017, at Life Care Center of Rochester.

Jean F. Renschler, 98, North Manchester, died at 11:30 p.m. Sept. 20, 2017, in Timbercrest Healthcare Center, North Manchester.     

Lorita C. Randall, 87, of Warsaw, passed away at 5:45 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 22, 2017, at her son’s home in Pierceton.

Torie Ann Stage Wilkins, 54, at the time of her passing, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Sept. 21.

CONNERSVILLE — Jacqueline “Jackie” Diane Surguy Pyle, 86, Connersville, passed peacefully at her home Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017.  She was born Oct. 17, 1930, in Rochester, to the late John W. and Mamie Y. Stevens Surguy. Jackie was raised by her late maternal grandmother, Cora Stevens, due to her father's untimely death and her mother's subsequent illness. 

AKRON — Merle E. Hostetler, 77, Denver, died at 2:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18, 2017, at his residence . He was born Jan. 31, 1940, in Miami County, to Robert and Esther Hostetler. On July 30, 1966, in Peru, he married Patty Janeway. She died Dec. 23, 2012.

Dean Allen Stewart, 52, Winona Lake, died at 12:48 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18, 2017, in Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne.   He was born April 18, 1965, in Syracuse, N.Y., to John and Judy Ann Gave Stewart, who survive in Winona Lake. He was a machine operator at Egg Innovations and attended Warsaw Community Church. Services will be private.
