NAPPANEE — Cheryl Myers, 48, Nappanee, died at 9:10 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017, at her residence after a brief illness (five weeks) with pancreatic cancer.
She was born Jan. 17, 1969, in Warsaw, to Don and Annetta Williams Millington.
She graduated from Wheaten Central High School and was a 1991 graduate of Messiah College in Pennsylvania with a degree in elementary education. On June 17, 1995, she married James Myers in Mentone.
Cheryl worked at the Cherished Child Preschool, Goshen. She then worked at Nappanee Public Library as the children services director for 15 years. Following the library, she went to work at the Growing Kids Preschool, Goshen. Currently, she was a nanny in Nappanee. She loved teaching children.
Cheryl was a member at the Atwood Christian Fellowship.
She is survived by her husband, James Myers; parents, Don and Annetta Millington, Bourbon; brothers, Randy (Susan) Millington, St. Charles, Ill., and Danial Millington, Bourbon; and mother- and father-in-law, James “Britt” Sr. and Ernestine Myers, Bourbon.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.
Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, at the funeral home. The Rev. Thomas Harman and the Rev. Jerry Kissinger, with Atwood Christian Fellowship, will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
