Anna Mae Yoder, 85, Nappanee, died at 10:10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, at her residence. She was born Aug. 7, 1932, in Nappanee, to William D. and Elizabeth Hochstetler Yoder. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Sandra K. "Sandy" Boyer, 78, Syracuse, died at 1:40 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, at Warsaw Meadows Nursing Home, Warsaw.

Daniel J. Easterday, 40, formerly of Silver Lake, passed away at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, in U.C. Davis  hospital, Sacramento, Calif., after a courageous battle with cancer.

Vance E. Lytle, 95, Akron, died at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018, at Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center, Warsaw.

John J. Whybrew, 65, Kendallville, passed away at 1:06 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018, at Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville.

Juanita J. Cornett, 63, Denver, died unexpectedly Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018, at Dukes Memorial Hospital, Peru.

Sharon L. Keener, 83, Punta Gorda, Fla., passed away Jan. 31, 2018, surrounded by her family.

William “Bill” Bellinger, 96, North Manchester, passed away Feb. 1, 2018, at the Peabody Healthcare Facility.

Stephen Glenn "Steve" Jones, 55, Leesburg, passed away at 3:47 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018, at his home. He was born April 13, 1962, in Hillsboro, Ohio, to Wilbert L. Jr. and Lindsey Jones. He graduated in 1980 from Hillsboro High School, attended Salem College in West Virginia, graduated in 1984 from Anderson College and received his master’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Donald Lee “Don” Harris, 85, Leesburg, passed away at 7:15 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Syracuse. He was born Jan. 29, 1933, in Anderson, to Omer Vernon and Mabel Morehead Harris. He graduated in 1951 from Anderson High School; received his B.S. degree in 1961 from Purdue University, West Lafayette; and received his master’s degree from Ball State, Muncie.

Marietta Slabach, 80, Nappanee, died at 3:55 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018, at her home, after a battle with cancer. She was born in Marshall County on June 28, 1937, to Jesse S. and Rubedean Weldy Hochstetler. On Oct. 6, 1956, she married J. Leroy Slabach. He survives.

Robert Lyle Otermat, 72, Warsaw, died at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018, in his home.

Zachary James “Zach” Hecker, 33, Leesburg, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018, at his home. He was born Nov. 29, 1984, in Fort Wayne, to Barry Franklin Hecker and Cheryl Lynn Threewits. He was a lifetime Leesburg/North Webster area resident, graduated in 2003 from Wawasee High School in Syracuse, and received his degree in radiation technology from Ivy Tech Community College in Marion. He was employed at Parkview Hospital, Warsaw, and formerly at Parkview Wabash for five years.

Phil A. Spann, 90, North Manchester, died at 10:40 a.m. Jan. 31, 2018, in Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne. He was born April 9, 1927, in South Whitley, to Jesse and Odessa Spitler Spann. He married Joanne E. Werking on May 16, 1947. She died Dec. 26, 1998. He mar

Keith Wilbur McCuen, 82, Nappanee, died at 7:40 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018, at Goshen Hospital after complications of dementia. He was born March 16, 1935, to Clifford and Marjorie Naylor McCuen. His first marriage was to Carol Sue Martin in January 1954. His second marriage was to Sue Ann Forrest on Dec. 22, 1974, in Nappanee. She survives.

Christina Marie "Chris" Deaton, 56, Pierceton, formerly of Omaha, Neb., passed away at 2:50 p.m. Jan. 25, 2018, at her residence. She was born Dec. 24, 1961, in San Fernando, Calif., to Stephen and Gloria Maglieri Pehanich.

Wilma Craig, musician, entertainer and kind-hearted family woman, passed away on Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, in Fort Wayne’s Lutheran Hospital. She was 66 years old. Although many knew her as “Wilma Dee,” the name under which she performed, she was born Wilma Grace Craig on July 20, 1951, in Warsaw. Her father, Erman Bays, and mother, Grace Arnett Bays, preceded her in passing.
