George W. Duff George W. Duff, 92, formerly of Warsaw, died at 7:25 p.m. April 5, 2011, in Pilgrim Manor, Plymouth. He was born Nov. 13, 1918, in St. Joseph, Mich., to Joseph and Goldie Strong Duff. He married his first wife, Maxine L. Shoemaker, in Warsaw in 1941, she survives. He then married his second wife, Diane L. Eichel, in Warsaw, who preceded him in death. A lifetime resident of Warsaw, he was a member of United Methodist Church Morris Chapel, Pierceton, and lifetime member of the National Rifle Association of America. He was a former Burket Fire Department volunteer and assistant fire chief. He worked for Litchfield Creamery for 30 years and Warsaw Coil for six years. Surviving are a daughter, Jacquelyn (and spouse Greg) Wing, Osceola; two sons, David L. (and spouse Joan) Duff, Plymouth, and Danny Duff, Tippecanoe; three half brothers: Gordon Duff, Washington State; Bruce Duff, Lansing, Mich.; and Dennis Duff, Traverse City, Mich.; and a half sister, Sandy Sills, Lansing. He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
