- Triathalon - Silver Lake - Rugby Club Triathalon Editor, Times-Union: This Saturday morning, June 24, 500-550 athletes will converge on Winona Lake for the annual Optimist's Triathlon.I'm writing to remind everyone in the area of this event and the fact that these athletes will be on the Pierceton Road, from Winona Lake to Pierceton, on their bikes as part of this event. Traffic is always a concern for everyone and this year it is even more so, due to the music festival at Grace College's athletic fields.I ask you to please do not travel on the Pierceton Road on Saturday morning and give the triathletes the opportunity to race safely. Many of these athletes train year round for triathlons and all we ask is to use this road once a year, from about 8-11AM on Saturday.

Editor, Times-Union:Explain to me why, if the supreme leader's health care bill is the greatest thing since sliced bread, why is he running all over the country trying to sell it to us?

Editor, Times-Union: God good? Or bad? Is there really good and bad? What say you? What choice would play best in Peoria?

Editor, Times-Union:The following is the explanation of the second section of my proposed constitutional amendment for furthering strengthening freedom of religion, the free market of religious activity and maintaining the independence of both institutions of church and state from each other.

- Leave It Eastern - White Sox Super - School Budget - Outstanding Citizen Leave It Eastern Editor, Times-Union: What a mess. What an issue that would separate friends and neighbors and divide the state county by county.I think that the only logical thing to do is to stop and realize that we were all in the Eastern time zone - except 10 counties - for nearly 40 years. The counties have prospered and progressed in the Eastern zone and the only right thing to do is leave everyone together that have been together and not let any county switch time zones. The Central counties would continue to function in the time zone that they have been used to and the rest of us would all remain together and be in the Eastern Zone.

- Misinformation - What To Say Misinformation Editor, Times-Union: Where oh where did Comcast ever get the misinformation that Warsaw is within the orbit of South Bend? Surely it didn't come from Big Brother via our savvy bureaucrats. Everyone I know when they do business or have occason to leave town goes to Fort Wayne. Our family has been 40-plus year season ticket-holders to the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, Fort Wayne Ballet, Fort Wayne Civic Theater and attend a number of other functions in Fort Wayne. Most of our favorite eateries are there. We fly out of Fort Wayne, and what out-of-town shopping we do is in Fort Wayne, which is also true of our friends and acquaintances.Of the two channels we watch on a regular basis one is Fort Wayne's PBS station, WFWA.

Editor, Times-Union:I'm afraid I must apologize to my old friend Matt and strip him of part of his title. Some years ago I referred to him as a left-wing screaming moron.

Editor, Times-Union:I have a great idea. Do away with the Letters to the Editor and make the space available for ads of people needing to sell things to make ends meet.

First, you need permission of a war veteran. Second, you need a signature from an immigrant. Third, you should get the signature of a mother.
