Editor, Times-Union: If you are a potential Trump voter, justifiably angry at being left behind economically and socially in an America that is no longer great for you, and if you haven’t already decided that God has anointed Trump to be the next president, I urge you to consider the potential for a Trump win to lead to shredding of American values we take for granted and to diminish peace and tranquility at home and abroad.
Editor, Times-Union: So many issues, so little time!
Editor, Times-Union: I’m not saying Trump is like Jesus. That would be almost blasphemous. But the similarities between Jesus and Trump are interesting.
Editor, Times-Union: I would like to respond to Mr. Zachery Morgan’s letter about having a disability. Everybody has a disability or a handicap. There was an individual that was perfect, but we nailed him to a tree.
Editor, Times-Union: As I see it, the coming presidential election is not about two people. It doesn’t matter if you like one or dislike both. If you don’t vote for either, in effect, you are voting for the other. If you vote for a candidate that cannot win, in effect you are helping the candidate that you dislike the most.
Editor, Times-Union: Following is my commentary with the national/state general elections less than two weeks away:
Editor, Times-Union: With this upcoming election, most voters are focusing at the top of the ticket. Who is going to be the next president? Who is going to be the next governor? Who is going to represent us in Washington?
Editor, Times-Union: This is a thumbs up for Ron Ogden in his article (A Nation At Risk) in Wednesday’s (Oct. 26, 2016) paper.
A storm is coming, and who we elect for president will determine if it is a passing shower or a hurricane.
Editor, Times-Union: 1865 – The American Civil War was fought for the freeing of slaves. Nov. 8, 2016 – We have another American civil war to fight for the freeing (saving) the unborn …
Thank you, Sacred Heart and Grace College, for all those white crosses you put on your lawns in memory of all the countless babies killed by abortion. Now Hillary and the Democrats are so sure of an election win, they don’t care what Catholics or evangelicals believe.
There is nothing new here, just things that need repeated. Life leads us to many moments where we have to make a decision for what we regard as the "lesser of two evils.”
It is crisp today, the crystal blue sky devoid of clouds. The sun, now hanging lower in the southern sky, casts long shadows over the earth that will soon be cloaked in brilliant white snow. Red, orange, and golden leaves on tall trees seem to flash their colors as a tempting young maiden.
Editor, Times-Union: I have learned from reliable sources that there is quite a large population of Muslims in Topeka, Ind. My first thought is, why Topeka?
Editor, Times-Union: On Monday evening, the “Trump for President” sign in my front yard was stolen. My first emotion was outrage – someone intentionally stole my property. The second was sadness – this person was a thug attempting intimidation by taking away my First Amendment right.
Am I too late to ask the Times-Union and Mr. Badman who they will endorse for the offices of governor and the Senate?
Editor, Times-Union: I can say that the best candidate currently in the race to represent the good people of Indiana's third district in Washington is State Senator Jim Banks.
Editor, Times-Union: It appears the Democrats are prepared to go deep into the gutter with their tactics. They had better beware, because when they go there, Hillary’s proclivities could be brought to light. Her own husband has said that she has slept with more women than he has. Is this what we want for president? I don’t think so.
Editor, Times-Union: The Trump did blow! DID YOU HEAR THE NOISE? Did You Hear The Noise? Did you hear the noise?
Editor, Times-Union: The presidential election this year could be the last election we have for president, depending on who is elected. I see too much going on that points toward the period called the Tribulation, which makes me believe the election of Hillary Clinton will be a sure sign of Christ’s soon appearance called the Rapture.
Editor, Times-Union: Eight months ago, on the evening of Feb. 19, 2016, an elderly woman went into cardiac arrest at the North Pointe movie theater lobby in Warsaw.
Editor, Times-Union: Thank you, Glenda Ritz!
Editor, Times-Union: Trump says he knows how to bring jobs back to America. Lowering business taxes and punishing companies that move out of America with tariffs when they bring products here is a start. There are other things that could be done to bring jobs back to America and create replacement jobs.
Editor, Times-Union: Actually, my letter is to Jeff Bridges of Avon, Colo., and those of leanings of which he wrote, in response to his of Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016.
Mr. Trump may think that the election is rigged or fixed, but both parties have denounced that theory. The problem is most elections are fixed one way or the other.
