Editor, Times-Union:No, this is not a typo. The hoards of illegals pouring over our border with Mexico constitute a militant invasion by the Mexican government as it continues to undermine America’s sovereignty.
Editor, Times-Union: As a state legislator, you are presented with a tough job. It is a job that requires you to take on a responsibility that involves making tough decisions and casting tough votes. No, I am not talking about Right to Work legislation. I am talking about House Bill 1006, which deals with licensing in Indiana.
Editor, Times-Union: Mitch Daniels has said that two-thirds of Hoosiers are in favor of the Right to Work legislation he’s trying to pass. I wonder where he came up with that number. He never asked me. He never asked anyone I know. Did he ask you? I didn’t think so.

It has not only failed us but also our children. I was in shock when I read the Saturday edition of the Times-Union Court Briefs.But then I was not surprised to see the ruling came out of Superior Court 1 (Judge Huffer). For those of you that missed it, a 30-year-old man was given a one and one-half year suspended sentence for repeatedly striking an 11-year-old with a hockey stick because she had taken a toy away from his son and made him cry.
Editor, Times-Union:Is the American Civil Liberties Union the anti-christ? If not, they act like it most of the time.
- Leesburg Sewer - Child Abuse Leesburg Sewer Editor, Times-Union: I have been a "pleased with being a Leesburg resident" my whole life, but this sewer project is really scaring the heck out of me for myself and my 81-year-old mother. I am a single woman who is trying to pay for a house, car, medicines and all the expenses that come with day to day living.My mother is a widow living on a "not so much" monthly Social Security check.We are praying that both of us won't have to sell our houses and move out of our cozy little town.I guess it wouldn't be such a worry if we had "big money" in our bank accounts, but we don't and we are both worried sick about this project.
