- Absurd Letter - Hope For Kids - Please Don't Litter Absurd Letter Editor, Times-Union: Recently a Mr.Howard Elder of Pierceton submitted a letter concerning the quick and easy pacification and surrender of all Muslim terrorists (which in itself is an oxymoron because one cannot be both a Muslim and a terrorist).Mr.Elder has claimed to have found a solution so simple and so dire that it could virtually end decades of terrorism in a matter of minutes. Being that you only published Mr.Elder's letter the remainder of my letter is addressed to Mr.Elder and not to you.

Editor, Times-Union:I often read most of the letters to the editor, Tom Metzger's included, and sometimes even agree with him, though the way he often comes across is irritating.

- More On Softball Game - Organizing A Class Reunion More On Softball Game Editor, Times-Union: Well I guess I have to spell this out.But first get your facts straight. I admit I didn't know about the 10 player rule, but I also don't know how many girls are going to show up until game time. Not a good time to look for a pitcher. The girl who was going to try and pitch for me who is also my catcher was not there.I had two players who said I could call up a minor league pitcher.I knew what the game would be without a pitcher, so did you.Not a game but a landslide victory for you.Do you think my girls had fun losing that bad? They did not.I never said you personally asked us to give up, the umpire did.

- Ivy Tech Ivy Tech Editor, Times-Union: There have been several articles in the news lately which were critical of the administration and students of Ivy Tech College in light of what they give to our community and questioning, by inference, how valuable they are to have here.I hope the writers of those articles were thorough in checking out the facts as they were presented. My suspicions are, however, that only one source was used for information, and understandably, because of this lack of research, only one view was presented in those articles.

Just how much "debate and compromise" will make you happy Mr.Hill?
