I often read most of the letters to the editor, Tom Metzger's included, and sometimes even agree with him, though the way he often comes across is irritating. The most recent one about the toll road business is right on.
My husband and I are both truckers and know first hand the hugely added expenses of continuing toll costs, not only to the U.S., but everyone in the U.S. in related costs to the consumer in added freight costs to deliver everything you use. I applaud Tom for bringing many things to the public's attention, but he can't nearly cover every atrocity our government officials are perpetrating on our citizens.
Please, people, start tuning in to Lou Dobbs on CNN every night at 7 p.m. and Glenn Beck at Headline News on CNN at 7 and 9 p.m. The things you will learn are startling, to say the least, frightening even. And before you vote for any of the candidates running for president, whether you are Republican or Democrat, you need to listen to the real facts before you decide.
Until you hear some of the things going on in government, you have no idea how bad things really are, and these two news commentators do not bring you all the trash and garbage about Britney Spears, O.J. Simpson, tabloid trash and all the crap that other news people seem to think is the only thing of importance to us as viewers. Just give them a few hours of your time and you will be hooked because you will then know what this country is coming to if we don't start demanding changes.
