Editor, Times-Union: There was once a kingdom in a time long ago. The kingdom’s castle was perched high up on a mountainside and there the royal family and their many servants lived in wealth and opulence.

During the Clinton scandal, the general public relies on the American journalist to report to them on the details. Some members of the public may tire of hearing about it, they may not even want to know, but the journalist's job is to provide the information for those who want the information. The Clinton scandal also allows journalists an opportunity for reflection. A journalist must step back from time to time and look at his work.He must question his ethics, his morals and his ability to be fair and unbiased. It is easier said than done. Every person in this world is born into an environment different than that of his neighbor.During his lifetime, a person experiences different events, meets new people and discovers more day by day.A journalist is no different and lives through the same process. He develops through events, information and the people he meets. With his experiences behind him, he wants to change the world through his work.

Anyone who makes a prediction is taking a 50-50 chance. There's a 50 percent chance a person will predict the right thing and a 50 percent chance the person won't even come close. And in that spirit, I'm going to make a few predictions for 1999.By December 31, 1999, we can all see how close I came, or didn't. As far as President Clinton and his upcoming Senate trial in 1999, there are a million and one outcomes that could take shape. They could censure him, they could remove him from office, someone could try to assassinate him, or his attorneys could file a motion saying the impeachment by the House is unconstitutional.Since the 105th Congress impeached him, but the 106th Congress is taking over come January, there have been some national newsmen who have said the Congress may have to revote. The House voted to impeach Clinton on two of four articles of impeachment. The White House is pushing for a censure.
