Once sectional opponents, the Warsaw and Penn volleyball teams met a round later than usual on Saturday night, facing off for the regional championship. From the first point onward, it was the Lady Kingsmen that controlled the game and the scoreboard. The end result was another regional heartbreak for the Lady Tigers, as the team fell 3-0.
What has been nothing short of a magical run for the Warsaw volleyball team continued on Saturday night. Just nine days after winning their fourth straight Northern Lakes Conference title, the Lady Tigers picked up a second “four-peat” to celebrate. With a 3-0 win over Elkhart on Saturday night, Warsaw captured its fourth straight sectional championship.

After righting the ship a tad with a big home win over NorthWood last week, the Warsaw football team remained at home for the regular season finale against Northridge on Friday night. After honoring 14 seniors before the game, the Tigers gave their upperclassmen the greatest gift of all in their final regular season game at Fisher Field: a victory. Using a big second half, Warsaw finished off the campaign with a 34-19 win over the Raiders.
Fresh off the heels of winning their fourth straight Northern Lakes Conference championship, the Warsaw volleyball team shifted its focus to winning its fourth straight sectional title. With the added benefit of playing at home, the Lady Tigers passed their first test with flying colors on Thursday night, defeating Northridge 3-0 in their quarterfinal game.

The good news for the Warsaw Tigers was that they saved some of their best for last. The bad news was that it was still their last.
Looking to get back into the win column after suffering a road loss to Mishawaka last week, The Warsaw football team welcomed their next test, the NorthWood Panthers, to Fisher Field on Friday night. Fueled by the defense making some big plays deep in their own zone, the Tigers were able to emerge victorious with a 28-7 win in the Northern Lakes Conference clash.
The Warsaw girls soccer team had to wait until Thursday evening to begin sectional tournament play after getting a bye in the blind draw. Facing off against Elkhart, the Lady Tigers asserted themselves from the opening whistle, scoring three goals in the first half to fuel a 5-0 victory at Goshen High School.

A South Bend man who allegedly tried to sign out a Edgewood student from school Sept. 26 has been arrested.
There was a ton on the line as the Warsaw girls soccer team hosted Northridge for the final home game of the season. A win for the visitors clinched the Northern Lakes Conference outright. A win for the home side allowed for a three-way tie at the top with the Lady Tigers included. The end result would be the former, as the Lady Raiders were able to hold onto a 1-0 win to take the NLC.
Three of the four teams competing at IHSAA boys tennis sectional 61 on Thursday were local teams, turning the semifinal round of the tournament into a display of some of the best tennis players Kosciusko County has to offer. After the day was over, just two teams remained. Warsaw picked up a sweep over Columbia City to advance to Saturday’s championship game, while Wawasee was narrowly able to topple Tippecanoe Valley to set up a rematch of last year’s sectional final.
The Warsaw boys’ and girls’ basketball programs are offering a 5-week youth league on Saturday mornings (1 Sunday) for all students in grades 1-4.

A week ago, after the team’s disappointing 38-7 loss to Northern Lakes conference foe Concord spoiled homecoming, Warsaw head coach Bart Curtis was not pleased. He stressed the team needed to improve a lot to be able to bounce back this Friday night against Plymouth. Looking to get back in the win column combined with the fact that the Rockies upset the Tigers at Fisher Field last season, the Tigers answered the call. Scoring the first 28 points of the game, Warsaw picked up a 42-14 road win to remain above .500.
Looking to both bounce back after a straight-set loss to Fort Wayne Carroll on Tuesday as well as send the seniors off with a victory on Senior Night, the Warsaw volleyball team looked like a well-oiled machine on Thursday night, using 22 aces to lead the way and cruising to a 3-0 win over Wawasee to remain undefeated in the Northern Lakes Conference.
Cancer impacts countless lives, and Warsaw Community High School’s (WCHS) cheer block is once again rallying the community to stand united in the fight. On Friday, Oct. 17, 2025, WCHS will host its annual Pink Out Night during the home football game against Northridge.

The Warsaw volleyball team faced one of its toughest tests of the season on Tuesday night, hosting defending 4A state champion Fort Wayne Carroll. The match was much closer than the final score indicated, as each point was a battle with each side showcasing why both teams are ranked in the top 10 in the state.
