Warsaw students competed at the Business Professionals of America (BPA) Regional Competition, with 30 students qualifying for the BPA State Leadership Conference.
Among those qualifiers, three students earned state spots in multiple events and several others placed as state reserves (should additional openings become available). Students competed across a wide range of BPA events including accounting, finance, business law, technology, health administration, digital media and presentations, according to a news release from Warsaw Community Schools.
During the Small Business Management Team event, Warsaw teams earned both first and second place. The second-place Warsaw team finished just half a point behind the winning team. BPA competition rules allow only one team per school to advance in team events, preventing the second Warsaw team from advancing to state.
