Zimmer Biomet has announced that Robert Delp, president of U.S. sales, will replace Stuart Kleopfer, president of Americas, who is retiring, according to a news release from the Warsaw-based company. Kleopfer became president of pre-merger Biomet U.S. in 2011 and has been with the company since 1988. "I would like to thank Stuart for his significant contributions to the company and congratulate Rob on his new leadership appointment,” said Zimmer Biomet’s Chief Executive Officer David Dvorak. “Rob is a strategic and customer-focused executive, and he is the right leader to continue to grow Zimmer Biomet's Americas region in the future," Dvorak said. Delp has 20 years of leadership experience in sales and spent eight years before the Zimmer Biomet merger as vice president of sales for several business units, the company said. The orthopedic company said Kleopfer will stay with the company for a period to help along Delp's transition to the new role, which is effective Monday.
