Woodrow A. “Woody” Everly, 71, of Warsaw, passed away at 5:30 p.m. April 2, 2013, in his residence. He was born Nov. 18, 1941, in Mishawaka, to Donald and Wanda L. Marker Everly. On Jan. 28, 1989, he married Patricia Proffitt, who survives. A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, he faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army from 1959-62 as a Specialist 4 (E4 Tech). He owned Woody Everly and Sons Trucking Inc. from 1981 to 2005 and PNW Logistics from 1989 to 2012. He was a member of Warsaw Moose; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1126, Warsaw; Rozella Ford Golf Course; and American Legion Post 424, Bourbon. Also surviving are a son, David (and spouse Leif) Everly, Warsaw; a daughter, Tammy (and spouse Steve) Adamiec, Claypool; two stepdaughters, Paula (and spouse Jeff) Lucas, Huntington, and Kim Kuns, Warsaw; a stepson, Donald (and spouse Tiara) Richardson, Camden; a brother, Bill Everly, Warsaw; three sisters: Sue (and spouse Kenneth) Tener, Nappanee; Jody Everly, Eugene, Ore.; and Sherry (and spouse Rod) Hess, Plymouth; 17 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a stepson, Royce Richardson. A celebration of life will be at 6 p.m. April 20 at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1126, 1350 W. Center St., Warsaw, IN 46580.
