I'd like to thank Mr. Wolkins for his obfuscating response to my "incorrect information." All I know is what I read in the Times-Union. I refer him to the front page of the Jan. 23 issue headline, which states "County imposes 60-day moratorium on solar farms." So I'll let Mr. Wolkins, The Times-Union and commissioners hash this out.
In regards to canned hunting, Mr. Wolkins states there are no known cases of chronic wasting diseases. "Known" is the key word. CWD is within 25 miles from the Indiana-Illinois border and 35 miles of the Indiana-Michigan border. The only deer tested are those harvested by hunters and road kill. Thus far those tested have been negative. It is not beyond the realm of possibility that deer could travel 25-35 miles. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. It's time to put an end to canned hunting before it is too late and shut down these hellholes.
I find it interesting that two of the top three of Mr. Wolkins’ donor PACs are The Farm Bureau and the NRA, the two entities he chose to defend. Curious.
