Whose Lies Are Believed?

Posted

Editor, Times-Union:

To Democrats, often the truth is skillfully crafted lies that are used against those who don't believe them. The recent I.G. document that made many people look bad has been considered no big deal. The media that hates Trump embraces the lies told against him and defend those that tried to keep him from becoming president. Just because the haters in the government are still employed doesn't mean they were doing the right thing. That would be like saying ISIS suicide bombers honor God.

The more we learn about Obama and Hillary, the worse they look. Obama lied when he said he found out about Hillary's private server when everyone else did when he knew about it early on since she emailed him with it. If someone hacked her server, I hope they reveal the information. The press will probably say the information was harmless. But if it is like the information Vice President Wallace leaked from FDR's oval office to Joe Stalin via Switzerland, people should ask why Obama still supported Hillary when FDR replaced Wallace with Truman.

Democrats condemned Trump for saying good things about Kim, who mistreats his people. Yet they praised Obama for seeing the Castros in Cuba even though they mistreat their people. Stalin starved millions and he was considered a hero while Kim and his forefathers did the same and are hated. A generation ago, Democrats thought the Soviet Union would exist today and those who thought different were either crazy or dangerous. When Reagan called the Soviet Union the Evil Empire, Democrats feared he would start a nuclear war. His tough talk brought down the Soviet Union, just like Trump's tough talk may prevent a nuclear war with North Korea.

If Kim were to become a Christian he would either transform his nation into a God-blessed country or be killed by hard-liners who want to maintain control of the people. The deep state wants to destroy Trump because he may make it great again.

Many say Trump is a threat to democracy. Yet they support those who are proven threats to democracy. If most people benefit from what Trump does, the liars in charge of the media will give credit for Trump's success to Obama. The media will know it has succeeded when people embrace their lies.

At times, Trump has stretched the truth like a fat guy in spandex. But he isn't Hitler. So why does the media too often act like the Nazi Ministry of Propaganda?
